This will be the atmosphere you breathe! You will be working independently in the 3D-Print Workshop. You seek to harmonise and connect with the lecturers, your workshop colleagues, and associated companies. To ensure the continued quality of the facilities on offer, you will take initiatives to improve them through submitting proposals to the Workshop Team Coordinator. Proposals for improvements will be in the areas of user friendliness, introducing new finishing materials, technical feasibility, cost efficiencies, working conditions, health and safety, and environmental impact.

You will require a broad knowledge on related techniques, and provide insights into the correlation between your own working field and related fabrication and prototyping processes. You will develop instruction material and compile introductions on the technical background of working with the resources, facilities, materials, machines and equipment in the workshop.

What you will bring to the team

  • Demonstrable experience with contemporary 3D printing techniques, including a thorough command of FDM & SLA 3D-printing techniques, through which you can describe yourself as a model maker.
  • It is a plus to have an affinity for robotics / VR / game development / programming (Arduino / Raspberry Pi), and relevant knowledge of electronics for support for PCBs and soldering components.
  • A practical attitude; you help to ensure the continuity of the workshop.
  • An Independent, proactive and flexible attitude, with flexibility about working evenings;
  • A communicative and customer-friendly attitude;
  • An eagerness to push the boundaries;
  • Knowledge and skills to plan and organise work processes and develop instructional material;
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written Dutch and English.
