As part of the Student Support team you will be responsible for:
- enrolment administration of EU and NON-EU students
- student admission administration
- enrolment registration
- visa application
- an adequate filing process (complete, check and archive the files)
- maintaining a good relationship with other departments inside and outside RUAS
- guiding of the incoming students during their immigration process concerning housing, visa and insurances.

Rotterdam Business School is the international institute of Hogeschool Rotterdam (Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences) and offers undergraduate and graduate education in business and economics. With approximately 3,500 students from both Europe and the rest of the world, and well over 250 international employees (academic and administrative), Rotterdam Business School has an international intake and a global reach.
Rotterdam Business School (RBS) offers English taught preparation courses for Bachelors and Masters, three Bachelor programmes: International Business & Management Studies (IBMS), International Business & Languages (IBL), Trade Management for Asia (TMA) and three Master programmes: Master in Consultancy and Entrepreneurship, Master in Finance and Accounting and Master in Logistics Management.
The Centre of International Affairs is the department within Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences that deals with all matters concerning internationalisation. We have currently 22 staff members who help us achieve our goal in supporting the university with its international ambitions.
The Centre of International Affairs (CoIA) is looking to recruit a Student Support Officer (0,8 fte) starting October 16th 2017.
In order to carry out the duties effectively, you are required to have the following skills and experience:
- a minimum level of MBO 4
- previous work experience in an administration position, preferably in education
- good knowledge of and experience in data base systems, Excel and Osiris
- excellent command of English and Dutch, both oral and written;
- a proactive and independent attitude
- a good team worker; precise and accurate
- a customer- and result-oriented attitude
- a flexible attitude and intercultural sensitivity
The job offered is to cover for maternity leave until midst February 2018. After this period a contract can be offered for 0,4 – 0,5 fte.
Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (Hogeschool Rotterdam) offers you a fixed term contract (one year D4). The salary range is HBO-CAO scale 7 (€2,107.72 minimum and €2,853.63 maximum per month) for full-time employment with an additional 8% holiday pay and 8.3% end-of-year bonus.
