Functie-inhoudWhat will you be doing?The Computer Vision & Data Science researcher, will work on various projects. These projects cover the following fields: Computer Vision, Data Science, Deep Learning and Hyper-spectral imaging. You should be able to demonstrate your prior experience in project-based work and enjoy working in a multi-disciplinary environment comprising lecturers, external specialists, companies and students. You will collaborate with your immediate colleagues to successfully complete the projects.As a researcher, you will also actively contribute to the development of the HBO Master Computer Vision & Data Science study programme. As part of the development team, you will share your expertise in this field and will help to develop teaching materials. After the initial phase, you will be one of the teachers in this programme.

AfdelingWhere will you be working?You will be working in the Centre of Expertise in Computer Vision and Data Science lab. Our lab has the broadest collection of industrial inspection cameras in the Netherlands, like UV, VIS, NIR, SWIR, LWIR, hyper-spectral, surround, 3D, high speed and LIDAR.. By joining the research group, you will be performing applied research on Computer Vision and Data Science methods and their applications. In doing so, you will use the latest computing facilities such as the Deep Frisian supercomputer.Within the research group professors (of applied sciences) collaborate with researchers, students and partner organisations to solve real-world image analysis problems. This results in optimal knowledge development and sharing within the group, while strengthening NHL Stenden’ s educational programmes and contributing to the growth of the region.More information on www.nhlcomputervision.nl

- A master’s degree in the field of Computer Vision or Data Science, preferably a PhD
- Demonstrable work experience and a passion for Computer Vision, Data Science and Deep Learning< >nowledge and skills in the area of research methods < > teaching qualification or a willingness to attain it

ArbeidsvoorwaardenWe offer:The salary is based on age and experience, to a maximum €5.564,23 (scale 10 to 12, Collective Labour Agreement for higher education) gross per month for a full-time position, excluding 8% holiday allowance and 8.3% end-of-year bonus. The contract will initially be for a period of 1 year.
