You will be involved in the overall project management of the SEEV4city project. You participate actively in research by executing interviews, analysing basic data, carrying out and reviewing literature studies as well as translating research into practical findings and recommendations. You publish results in professional publications. You will be engaged in organizing a pilot study in Amsterdam, take care of dissemination activities such as workshops and be in charge of the management of the international partners. Given the practical nature of the position, you will maintain frequent contact with relevant parties such as companies, governments and other interest groups. You will organize workshops, interviews and studies. In addition you could also be engaged in research activities, visit conferences and serve as main contact point for the INTERREG secretariat for updates, reports and contractual aspects.

For our research program Urban Technology we invite applicants for a project management position for a period of 2 years. This is part of the INTERREG funded SEEV4city project (solar energy and electric mobility for the city). The position will focus on the overall project management, execution of research, dissemination activities and pilot organization.
The SEEV4city project is a European innovation project that involves partners from 5 countries. Duration of the project is three years, starting September 2016. De project is aimed at studying synergy effects in the growth of electric vehicles, solar electricity generation, use of electric vehicles of buffers and smart grids. By carrying out applied research, in close collaboration with city partners and relevant stakeholders as well as implementing and monitoring practical pilots in the city of Amsterdam, this project aims to contribute to service development and optimization of the rollout of electric vehicles and sustainable energy generation in city environments. HvA is coordinator of the project, with the city of Amsterdam and the ArenA as project partners.
You have completed a relevant Master study in engineering, energy engineering, industrial engineering, technology or business studies. You have a background in and affinity with the field of energy, mobility and/or sustainability. You have project management experience, strong social communication and reporting skills. You are flexible and have previously worked closely together with public and/or private organisations. You have good verbal and written English skills. Preferably you have affinity with sustainable mobility. Consumer research experience is a plus.

Salary scale 11 (CAO – HBO Collective Agreement for Universities of applied science) applies to this position of project manager 4. The gross salary is maximum €4.661,- per month based on full-time employment. The post will initially involve a temporary appointment for one year and extension will be dependent on demonstrated suitability for the post and the possibilities for creating a permanent position.
