As a lecturer / researcher in 'Smart Mobility' you give direction and shape to current and future developments for smart technology in mobility. As a result, you provide a framework for new concepts for, for instance, infrastructure, vehicles and data. You will do so in research projects as well as in education. You possess up-to-date knowledge of the field of 'Smart Mobility', identify new trends and are able to channel these into the organisation. You do all this on the basis of a broad view of the field of mobility through integrated working and thinking. You are an expert in the subject matter and you are able to carry out applied research and transfer the results of this back into education and professional practice. You have a comprehensive network and you preferably have international work experience and/or an international background. You contribute to knowledge development and acquisition for research projects concerning the transitions in the field autonomous and sustainable mobility. In time, it will be possible to progress to the position of professor within a professorship on Smart Mobility.

The Academy for Urban Development, Logistics and Mobility offers four courses: International Traffic Management, International Logistics and Transport Management and International Logistics and Economics. The Academy strives take a leading role as educational knowledge and expertise centre in the Netherlands. Several independent studies show that the academy offers the best training in its field in the Netherlands.
You also teach lectures as well as supervise and coach students – in their competency development process - on the basis of your expertise. You develop teaching material and actively contribute to the content and development of the curriculum of Built Environment, for the national as well as the international track. Moreover, you supervise students in project groups, during work placements and in graduation projects. You have an academic level of professional and intellectual ability and you have a master's degree relevant to the position. You possess excellent skills in the field of project-based working and project management, and you preferably have teaching experience. You are a team player capable of building support as well as capable of adding momentum to the development of the curriculum by means of a proactive attitude. Due to the international character of our institute, oral and written proficiency in English is important (C1 level).

The salary for this position will be at level 11 of the CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning in between a monthly minimum of €3,477.27 and a maximum of €4,777.65 gross (full-time). You will be officially appointed in the function of Lecturer. Appointment will initially be based on a yearcontract. You will receive a fixed annual benefit of 8.3%. Apart from this, Breda University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance and a compensation for your health insurance. With a full-time position and a working pattern of 40 hours per week you are entitled to 10.7 weeks of holiday leave (including public holidays).
