Would you like to share your passion for logistics and supply chains to facilitate our students’ development? The logistics and supply chain industry is diverse and in a phase of transformation with digitalisation, data and sustainability as important drivers. As a lecturer (0.6-1FTE) you challenge, teach and support students in their development. You combine knowledge of and experience in the industry with your enthusiasm, and you have the ambition to learn and develop yourself as well.About this job
As a Lecturer of Logistics (0.6-1FTE) you will guide students in their development and are involved in developing the curriculum within the Academy for Built Environment & Logistics (ABEL) at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas). You are familiar with innovations within logistics and the supply chain as a whole. You have a broad knowledge of information management and (data) engineering and have experience with applying this knowledge in a planning, forecasting and/or (multimodal) transport setting. You can translate this into inspiring education for our students, informing them about the current and upcoming developments the industry and companies are facing. In addition, you will supervise students during their work placement or graduation project and stimulate students to think about the choices they can make during their studies and after graduation.
In our educational vision, collaborative learning is paramount. Rather than giving lectures, we strive for continuous interaction with students and as often as possible, including with industry partners. Our students work on different forms of challenges in small-scale learning communities. You are the person connecting these challenges, different students, industry and practice together to create meaningful learning experiences. You are not the one who knows all the answers, but you are the one who guides students where to find them. As a lecturer you will also learn new things every day.
At BUas we operate on a team-based working principle where responsibilities and authority are assigned to the teams within the Academy. This leaves a lot of room for own input and co-creating the future of education. Are you ready to create meaningful experiences?
