As a lecturer in ‘Mobility and Behaviour’ you teach your students about the user side of mobility, while encouraging them to connect this knowledge to other segments of the field. To this end, you possess relevant and up-to-date knowledge of the fields of mobility management, passenger transport and traffic safety. You are capable of incorporating recent trends in mobility services, experiences/perception and traffic safety into education, based on a broad, integrated view of the field of mobility.

With this expertise as a starting point, you deliver and innovate education and you actively contribute to the content and development of the curriculum of Built Environment, for the national as well as the international track. You are an expert in the subject matter and you preferably have work experience at municipal and/or regional government level. International work experience and/or an international background would be preferred. You teach lectures as well as supervise and coach students – in their competency development process - on the basis of your expertise. Moreover, you supervise students in project groups, during work placements and in graduation projects. Through education and our learning communities, you contribute to knowledge development and research projects in the domain of Built Environment and you are capable of establishing and maintaining good relationships with industry stakeholders.

Functie eisen

You have an academic level of professional and intellectual ability, you have a master's degree relevant to the position, and you preferably have teaching experience. In addition, you have skills in the area of project-based working and research. You are a team player capable of building support based on your personality as well as capable of developing the curriculum by means of a proactive attitude. Due to the international character of our institute, oral and written proficiency in English is important (C1 level).

The salary for this position will be at level 11 of the CAO-HBO (Collective Labour Agreement), earning in between a monthly minimum of € 3,477.27 and a maximum of € 4,777.65 gross (full-time). You will be officially appointed in the function of Lecturer. Appointment will initially be based on a year contract. You will receive a fixed annual benefit of 8.3%. Apart from this, Breda University of Applied Sciences offers you an 8% holiday allowance and a compensation for your health insurance. With a full-time position and a working pattern of 40 hours per week you are entitled to 10.7 weeks of holiday leave (including public holidays).
