You will be a part of the IT & Logistics department in AMSIB. The department comprises fifteen lecturers and professors, forming a collaborative and ambitious team. We design and deliver modules for the International Business and Global Sustainable Business Management programmes, including international supply chain management, technology and innovation, and enterprise resource planning. Start in February 2024.

Where else than at AUAS …

  • Educate the next generation of young professionals about technology and global supply chains.

  • Explore novel global operations challenges.

  • Train young professionals on integrating business processes most efficiently.

Here's how you will make a difference

  • You will teach business processes-related modules at the undergraduate (and, if applicable, graduate) levels using SAP S/4HANA.

  • Supervise bachelor (and, if applicable, master) theses.

  • Contribute to undergraduate and graduate curriculum development in (global) operations and business processes.

  • Develop and maintain an international academic and professional network in global supply chain management and business processes.

  • Stay up to date at the forefront of knowledge, technological developments and trends in ERP, analytics, operations, and related fields and know how to translate this to a diverse student body and faculty.

  • Act as an engaged and collegial team member and contribute proactively to the department and School's development and international visibility.

No education experience? No problem!

You will be assigned a buddy and get an onboarding programme (6-18 months) that is fully tailored to your needs. You will start by shadowing more experienced colleagues and have the opportunity to obtain your certificate of adequate pedagogic preparation.  Did you know that our lecturers get to spend part of their working time and a generous budget on their own substantive and personal development?

Your other perks

  • The choice to work full-time, part-time or in the evenings. This is ideal if you want to combine this job with, e.g., a job in the world of business.

  • A gross monthly salary between €4,234.28 and €5,936.77 (scale 11 of the higher education collective labour agreement).

  • An end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and a holiday allowance of 8% of your gross annual salary.

  • 428 vacation hours per year with a 40-hour working week.

  • Entitlement to various types of leave, such as (un)paid parental leave, care leave, adoption and foster care leave and schemes for middle-aged staff.

  • A travel allowance for your commute, an NS-Business Card, your own AUAS bicycle or a tax incentive to purchase your own bicycle. If you are unable to use personal or public transport to travel to work, e.g., because of a disability, we will explore alternate possibilities together.

  • Plenty of development opportunities, e.g., via our own AUAS Academy and the online courses of Good Habitz.

  • Discounts on various facilities, such as books, cultural courses, soft- and hardware and a number of insurances.

  • A strong focus on your job satisfaction, work-life balance and vitality.  For example, you can participate in various sports activities for AUAS staff or via the USC sport centre. You can also visit our (career) coaches and use various online tools to benefit your mental health.

  • A good pension scheme via the ABP pension fund.

  • A laptop and smartphone. A monthly internet allowance of €50.

  • Last but not least: a chance to work in a dynamic and pleasant environment with wonderful colleagues. You and your colleagues can also get together outside work, e.g., in one of our communities, such as HvAPride, HvA Alumni, HvA United, JongHvA and FEM IT.
