Functie-inhoud
Onze organisatie:The Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences (WdKA/RUAS), offers a variety of bachelor and master programs in the field of visual culture, art, design, education in arts, and leisure management. The curriculum of the Willem de Kooning Academy is founded in an interdisciplinary ethos in which research through making, theoretical reflection and participatory practices form the three pillars of the Institute. The Piet Zwart Institute, is part of the WdKA, hosting four full time and two part-time international masters in art, design and art education. The programs work experimentally across different media and contexts, offering a rich combination of in-depth specialization and interdisciplinary exchange. We educate professionals who have a critically reflective, questioning and imaginative approach to their work.
Master Interior Architecture: Research + Design (MIARD)
The two-year full-time Master Interior Architecture: Research + Design (MIARD) invites qualified candidates to apply for a core tutor position in Critical Strategies. The profile of the candidate is one who identifies with—and can push forward—the multi-disciplinary, research-intensive and self-directed approach of the program. We seek a multidisciplinary practitioner and educator whose work expands across visual studies, architecture and/or art theory, who has a background in architecture (or whose practice has a strong architectural component grounded in spatial thinking). We are looking for someone who can place urgent issues affecting our built environment in relation to expanded ideas of the interior, architecture and design. Moreover, the nature of the course requires a practitioner who is experimental and considers research and writing as an exploratory practice.
Wat ga je doen?
The job involves a high degree of responsibility, contributory influence and the opportunity to align your individual practice and research with a broader community of professionals and students. The core tutor works collaboratively with other core tutors within MIARD’s program. MIARD is a nationally accredited course with a focus on practice-based research and critical spatial strategies in the field of interior architecture. For more information on the program visit the MIARD Archive and the PZI website.
