As chair of the exam committee cluster Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB), the best part of your job is: signing diplomas, which is what we all do it for, of course. In daily practice, you work on everything that contributes to guaranteeing the quality of this diploma. You do this by working together with the chair of the other three cluster examination boards of our faculty to ensure the continuity of work in the area of quality assurance of tests and examinations. Of course, you also do this in cooperation with the members of your examination committee and of the testing committee. Furthermore, you guard the unity of work and method of decision-making in the examination rooms and translate the established policy into implementation guidelines for the examination rooms. The chairperson of the examination board also acts as advisor to program managers in accreditations, visitations and internal audits and interlocutor for panels in the context of internal and external quality assurance. Together with the other chairs, you formulate policy recommendations and, where appropriate, advise the dean on matters relating to the policies of the examination boards.

 

Als voorzitter van de examencommissie cluster Amsterdam School of International Business (AMSIB) is het mooiste van je werk: het tekenen van diploma’s, daar doen wij het met elkaar natuurlijk voor. In de dagelijkse praktijk werk je aan alles wat bijdraagt aan de borging van de kwaliteit van dit diploma. Dit doe je door samen met de voorzitters van de andere drie cluster examencommissies van onze faculteit zorg te dragen voor de continuïteit van de werkzaamheden op het gebied van de kwaliteitsborging van toetsen en examens. Dit doe je natuurlijk ook in samenwerking met de leden van jouw examencommissie en van de toetscommissie. Verder bewaak je de eenheid van het werken en de wijze van besluitvorming in de examenkamers en vertaal je het vastgestelde beleid naar uitvoeringsrichtlijnen voor de examenkamers. De voorzitter van de examencommissie fungeert ook als adviseur van opleidingsmanagers bij accreditaties, visitaties en interne audits en gesprekspartner voor panels in het kader van interne en externe kwaliteitsborging. Samen met de andere voorzitters formuleer je beleidsadviezen en adviseer je in voorkomende gevallen de decaan over zaken met betrekking tot het beleid van de examencommissies.

Our candidate has a completed master's degree, is a lawyer or has a demonstrable affinity with legal issues and has a highly developed sense of administrative relationships. You have demonstrable coordinating and/or managerial experience. You are proactive, analytical and have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English. Furthermore, you are willing to study the final level of bachelor and master programs. A Chair of the Examination Board is appointed by the Dean for, in principle, a period of three academic years. The appointment will be effective January 1, 2024. This will be followed by an induction period, after which the new chairperson will take over final responsibility for the examination board as of May 1, 2024. Efforts will be made to ensure that the composition of the examination board is as diverse as possible in terms of gender, expertise and nationality.

Onze kandidaat heeft een afgeronde masteropleiding, is jurist of heeft aantoonbaar affiniteit met juridische vraagstukken en heeft een sterk ontwikkeld gevoel voor bestuurlijke verhoudingen. Je hebt aantoonbare coördinerende en/of leidinggevende ervaring. Je bent proactief, analytisch en

beschikt over excellente communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en in het Engels. Verder ben jij bereid je te verdiepen in het eindniveau van bachelor- en master-opleidingen. Een voorzitter van de examencommissie wordt door de decaan benoemd voor in principe een periode van drie studiejaren. De benoeming zal plaatsvinden per 1 januari 2024. Hierna volgt een inwerkperiode, waarna de nieuwe voorzitter per 1 mei 2024 de eindverantwoordelijkheid voor de examencommissie overneemt. Er wordt gestreefd naar een zo divers mogelijke samenstelling van de examencommissie qua gender, expertise en nationaliteit.
